Relevant Sentences

Just want to let you all know that Brittney has been doing great! We recently noticed a difference in her brain activity and it has her up at night talking more than she has before. Not only that, but now she manages to get relevant sentences out... When aunt helped give her medicine, she said, "Thank you for helping me." When mom went into the laundry room, she asked, "Where are you going?" When mom was holding a baby cousin, she asked, "Is that your baby?" When mom said good night, she said, "Sweet dreams." In addition to this, she is also moving her limbs more and was able to sit up on the side of the bed this past Sunday for over 30 minutes without assistance. She's also helping move her body for diaper changes. From a medical perspective, although she's a long way from where she once was, her blood count is still lower than it needs to be. Prayer focus: Consistency in behavior and speech patterns (ability to speak and say more). Her

Great Numbers

Brittney is great! Aware, present, talking some and being as beautiful as ever! The doctors are really pleased with her blood count and the numbers as it related to the infection in her body. Where they once said it would be several months before they take her off antibiotics, now they're saying it's a matter of weeks instead. God is continuing to manifest healing in Brittney every day. It's great to be a witness! Last week she had a rehabilitation evaluation. She did really great in physical therapy, so much so that she was exhausted for occupational therapy. That appointment was an assessment. The therapists and the doctors will meet to determine if they will continue to work with Brittney on a weekly basis or just whenever she does something new. Although we feel that Brittney needs rehab every week right now, we're praying that they don't drop her altogether. Thank you all for your continued prayer support. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to Britt

All Went Well

Brittney blood transfusions and her surgical procedures went well. She's still in the hospital tonight for observations and will come home tomorrow (Wednesday), just in time for Thanksgiving! Tonight she's talking and calling for her sister, "Erin." Besides that, she's great! Please continue to pray for complete health, healing and restoration in the name of Jesus for Brittney. We sincerely thank each of you for your continued prayer support. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com.

3-Day Hospital Stay

Brittney will be admitted into the hospital this morning for her monthly blood transfusion. While there, she's going to have a double surgical procedure on tomorrow. She will have a double-port implanted that will make the monthly transfusions easier, plus she'll also have a liver biopsy. She doctor assured mom that she'd be home on Wednesday. This week we're praying that Brittney has a very smooth transition to and from the hospital (by ambulance), that the transfusion will flow and her body responds as needed, and also that her surgical procedures go well. We're also praying for quick healing and recovery and reduced soreness or discomfort. While at the hospital, she'll also have a rehabilitation evaluation. Brittney needs to show them that she's present and able to do more than what they've been seeing in previous sessions in order for them to keep her on a weekly schedule. Please pray that she'll go over and beyond their expectations in order tha

Updates & New Prayer Focus

Since our last post, Brittney has still been improving. On last Sunday, she did yet another new feat. She fed herself a popsicle. Auntie noticed that Brittney was putting a hand toy to her mouth to try to eat it, so we replaced the hand toy with a popsicle and she ate every bit of it. This is one of many things Brittney has done and we're grateful to daily see the changes and improvements. We're praying that all of these new feats will be consistent for her and not just a "here and there" thing that she does. Speaking of consistency, Brittney had stopped talking at one point and as of today she's making noise again trying to sound out words. We're praying that the words will begin to flow and that the talking remains consistent from here on out. We understand that the brain takes a while to "heal itself" as we were told this numerous times by nurses and doctors. We realize that Brittney's brain health is in God's hands so we're looking fo

Brittney is Continuing to Progress

Although we have not made any recent posts. We just wanted to let you know that Brittney is continuing to improve daily. She had a situation with her right shoulder last week, but when she went to the doctor he was pleased with the progress. As a matter of fact, everyone who saw Brittney last week at the hospital were so pleased with how she looks and the progression she's made thus far. According to the doctors, her antibiotics are working and her medical numbers are "trending down" in the right direction. So, we're praying that they continue to trend and the infection completely leaves her body never to return. We know that Brittney is already healed and it's only a matter of time before the full manifestation. Pastor Short Tee prophetically spoke to mommy this past Saturday and said that the Lord told him that daily Brittney will do something different as a sign that God is manifesting her healing. We see that every day in Brittney. And get this... just moments

Fast Healing Brain

Brittney was admitted to the hospital yesterday for a routine blood transfusion. That went really well. The doctors also looked at her arm and they don't see anything that alerts them that something is wrong. So there are no major red flags. She will see the orthodepic doctor on Monday who will give us a better understanding. Besides that all is well. While in the hospital, the rehab doctors saw Brittney and were very impressed with her healing. One doctor told mom that he is "surprised that her brain is healing as fast as it is." They also made plans to get her a certain medication in due time that will help her brain to slow down and function better. Each day, we see the miracle hand of God on Brittney's life. She is more alert and moving her limbs. She's even started eating tiny portions of special foods. You would not believe all the nay-sayers who are so impressed with Brittney's progress thus far. Your prayers... our prayers... are working! We will soon

More of Brittney

Each day, we see more of Brittney's personality surfacing and it is a blessing to witness. Brittney is talking. Some words she shouts. We believe that's because of brain activity regulating itself. However, when she speaks in her normal voice, it's very clear and is relevant about 70% of the time. The shouts are not as bad as they were... they are definitely going away. Yesterday, she had a swallow test and passed. That means that she is able to begin eating (a little at a time)... which means the quicker her feeding tube will be removed. Also, she's moving her limbs and yesterday at therapy, she sat up on her own 90% of the time. So, she's making vast improvements still. Please continue to pray for a complete manifestation of her healing. We will definitely keep praising God each day as we see her shine forth! -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

"Praise God!"

This week's blog post is from "Auntie Latonja" who (with her husband Dedric) were our guest family members this past Sunday at church. It was Brittney's first day at church since being hospitalized. Hello Family, Friends and Loved Ones! I pray that the message reaches you with GOD’S FAVOR and ABUDANCE and Most of all his “LOVE” … I am finding myself wanting to LOVE more and more since Joyce Meyers has started this “Love Revolution”… Anyways… Just wanted to give you all an UPDATE on A MIRACLE! Yesterday my Husband and I went to Worship w/our Niece Brittney! We all sat as a “Family” and it was SO AWESOME! The Church was just OVERWHELMED w/ LOVE for Britt, Excitement to SEE her when the Dr’s Had Given up on her and The SEE the GLOW of a MOTHER that didn’t/hasn’t given up on her child!! It was Phenomenal!! During Services, Brittney “Babbled” but out of the guts of her belly she managed to scream out the words “PRAISE GOD” as a BABY was being Blessed/Dedicated to God… WO

"Thank You Jesus"

All throughout Brittney's ICU/hospital stay, mom and aunt have always encouraged her to think about Jesus... to say His name in her mind and to say the name "Jesus" whenever she could. We'd encourage her in and out of consciousness. We'd say, "Brittney, even though you can't speak right now, say the name of Jesus over and over in your mind. One day you will be able to say the name of Jesus and when you do, say it over and over again." Even with her being home, we'd remind her to think and say the name of Jesus because there is healing in the name of Jesus. Today, mom heard Brittney whispering and she walked over to her bed only to clearly hear her whispering, "Thank You Jesus" over and over again! Hallelujah, Lord God! We are rejoicing & thanking Jesus with Brittney! What an awesome thing to witness the miracle that is Brittney! -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

Brittney is Talking!

After two days of making noise, today she's talking! As the day progresses she talks more and more. Some words are clear while others are moans and groans. She remembers a lot as we can tell. She's a miracle in the making. Our prayer focus is that she continues to talk with much more clarity and fluency. The more she talks the better it gets. She's talking even now... been going at it for an hour straight. I wish I could express to you the joy we have in our hearts over this. If you had been there when the doctors told us she would be a vegetable and would never do anything beyond a blank stare. BUT GOD!!! Oh what a mighty God we serve! Hallelujah! Together (your prayers and ours), we're literally seeing the Hand of God in Brittney's life. Keep praying! Don't give up! My heart is bubbling now as I write this with tears of joy... God is faithful and He is real! If you don't believe look at Brittney's life (go back and read her blog)! Deaquelynn~ aka "

Making Adjustments

Brittney has been home for a week and she is doing great! We're all adjusting to her schedule of meds and feeds as well as scheduling nurses, home health care, and home therapy... not including doctors visits and transportation. It's been quite a week. Brittney has been well. She's resting much better than she did when she was in the hospital too. She stopped talking and now that is our prayer focus... that she'll start talking again and communicate with us so we can best meet her needs. Please join us in prayer that she begins to speak again. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

Brittney's Officially Home!

Healing Prayer/Confession for Brittney

The following prayer/confession was taken from the website http://www.PatsysMiracle.com It's been altered slightly to reflect Brittney's situation. -- Patsy went through some very similar challenges as Brittney and she came out a winner! She's fully functioning and able to do all the things the doctors told her husband that she wouldn't do. Her husband stood in faith and also made this healing confession over Patsy every day. Please join us in making this confession over Brittney as often as you can. "Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Living Word. You said that your Word is life to those who find it and medicine to all their flesh. Today, by my confession, I apply Your Word to Brittney by giving voice to it. You said in Psalm 139:14 that she is fearfully and wonderfully made and that Your works are marvelous. I declare that You made Brittney and she is a marvelous creation. I speak to sickness and disease today and proclaim that according to Philippians 2:10 th

Possible Flu Bug

The doctors seem to think that Brittney has the flu, although her tests have come back negative. Right now thay are doing all they can via meds and breathing treatments to make Brittney comfortable until it passes. Please join us in praaying for a quick recovery and healing process for Brittney. On another note, mom finally went home today toget some much needed rest. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com.

Resilient

One word that best describes Brittney... RESILIENT! No matter what opposition she's faced over the past three months, she always finds inner strength and bounces back. It's God in her, and that we know! Although we've not posted for the past few days, things are well. Brittney resumed rehab on Monday. She's still responding, alert and very present. We rejoice and thank God in the midst of it all! Right now, mom has a terrible cold bug and is taking all precautions not to pass it on to Brittney. Her brother Brandon and sister Erin also have colds and we're keeping them away from the hospital temporarily. So please pray for quick healing/recovery for all three of them and things can return to normal with hospital visits. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com. Thank you!

New Treatment

Brittney had a fairly quiet day after surgery yesterday. However, last night she spiked a temperature and her heart-rate went up. Today everything is returning to normal and she's resting quite well. The type of infection in her bones has been identified and she'll start a new treatment of antibiotics today. This treatment is expected to last over a several week time period and one medicine can affect her kidneys. We're praying that her kidneys will not be affected at all and that she continues to do well on her road to healing. Now that the infection has been identified, we're also praying that the joints that are infected has not suffered any damages so she won't have to have more surgeries in the future. We are confident in the healing power of Jehovah-Rapha our Healer. Pray that Brittney's body (brain, kidneys, lungs, heart, immune system, blood cells) continues to line up with the Word of God each day. She's schedule to restart rehabilitation on Monday.

Surgery is Over

Brittney made it through surgery just fine. They washed out her right shoulder and all went well. She's in recovery now and will soon return to her room. She's currently on antibiotics now, however some of her meds might change depending on the cultures they get back from what they drew off her arm today. Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say rejoice! We are rejoicing for a successful surgery but also for Brittney's complete healing, health and wholeness. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com.

Bone Infection

The surgeon just came and talked to mom and informed her that Brittney has a bone infection throughout her body. Right now he's going to treat the right arm as that's the area that's giving Brittney the most discomfort. After surgery he's going to get with the infectious control doctors to see what meds and actions they can take. Prayerfully, anitbiotics will take care of everything, but more than that the Healing power of Jesus Christ heals Brittney. Currently she's still in surgery. We're believing God for a smooth surgery and a quick recovery so she can resume her rehabilitation. Please continue to stand in faith with us that Brittney is healed, healthy and whole. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com.

Surgery Rescheduled

Brittney's surgery has been rescheduled for 7:15 am tomorrow. She has to have a blood transfusion this evening in preperation for surgery. After surgery when all goes well, she'll be able to go home in a week. So instead of this Friday we're looking at sometime next week. Please continue to pray for everything to go well. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

Surgery Needed Today

Brittney will have surgery today to clean out the infected shoulder. They are planning to x-ray all of her joints prior to surgery to see if there are any more infected joints. We are declaring and decreeing that there aren't anymore infected areas, that she has a smooth operation, and God lead and guide the doctors in all wisdom, knowledge, understanding, divine revelation and prophetic insight in her treatment and care. Please pray for Brittney, family and doctors today. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

Infection in Right Shoulder

After showing discomfort in her arm this weeks, doctors discovered that Brittney has an infection in her right shoulder. The doctor cut it so that the infection could drain. They will decide tomorrow if she will need surgery or not. She is not running a fever or anything and overall she is still doing great. We are praying that the infection will be removed and she'll be ready to go home soon. Please continue to pray for Brittney and our family. We are yet hopeful as we have seen the Hand of God on Brittney's life in miraculous ways, and He's still doing it even now. -The Williams Family To leave a comment write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

Encourage Brittney's Spirit

Brittney is still doing great! Each day we see her gaining a new level of consciousness and becoming more aware of her environment. She's talking a little more and saying things that are relevant and appropriate (no idle babble or "off the wall" words from her). It's still a very slow process and sometimes hard to communicate, but overall it's progression daily. Brittney has said a few things that let's us know that she's becoming aware of how sick she's been and because of that, we want to ask you to pray with us that the Lord encourages Brittney's spirit everyday. Pray that her hope builds and she realizes that all that she's been through and going through now is just temporary. She's come a very long way in the past 16 weeks. We want Brittney to know in her inner spirit that God can, will and has already healed her body and for her to hold on to hope and faith in Him. We play worship music and healing Scriptures for her, so we pray that

No Seizure Activity

This morning while in rehabilitation, the therapists thought Brittney had a seizure. An EEG was ordered by the doctors and it showed no sign of a seizure. Right now she is back in physical therapy and doing great. When they moved her on the mat in the gym, she said, "arm" to let them know that her arm was uncomfortable. She will soon transition from one heart medicine to the next one, so we're praying and believing God for a smooth transition. Thank you for your continued prayer support. -The Williams Family To leave a message, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com.

Messages from Around the World

South Africa Dearest Brittney, Wow! What a long road you have walked. Young lady, you are going to surprise doctors through what our Abba is doing in your body, but I believe you will surprise your family, (Both flesh and Spiritual families) with what Abba is doing in your Spirit. His Beautiful Spirit. That chose to live in you . To heal you from the inside out. To minister Words of Wisdom that you might reach people that have hardened their hearts through medical disappointment/s. You have had the very awesome blessing of having a God-fearing, loving family, surround you with His love, and their love, woven together for your healing. They rejoice in every little progress (as we all do who are praying for you all over the world.) I am so encouraged by your mommy's faithful persistence in stepping into the Throne Room on your behalf, your aunty's courage and persistence too. One day, when the Lord blesses you with your own little girl, you will understand the depth

Preparing to Go Home

We are preparing for Brittney to go home next week! Right now, she's doing well health wise as well as in rehabilitation. She's scheduled to go home next week, of which she will still have three days of rehabilitation each week. Please pray with us that everything will be in place as we transition home. She'll need a special bed, she's been fitted for a wheelchair, and mom is also coordinating the delivery of medicine and supplies. Our biggest need right now is for a van to transport Britttney back and forth to rehabilitation and doctor appointments, so we ask that you pray that all of our resources to be available for home care. We're so excited that she's going home! We also know the changes this means for our family and we're expecting a smooth transition as Brittney continues on this road to divine instructions and healing manifestation. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

Tracheostomy No More!

The doctors removed Brittney's tracheostomy today and she is doing great! More rehabilitation today as well. Brittney is improving daily. She has very slow response time, but all that matters to us is that she is responding! God is doing it! Please continue to help us P.U.S.H. [Pray Until Something Happens] Brittney through! We are truly seeing the Hand of God move on Brittney's behalf. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

A Few Words & More

"Stop"... "Mama" ... and "Lay me down." These are the words Brittney spoke today. Althought it's not a lot or her fully communicating, we are rejoicing to hear whatever she utters out of her mouth. She followed the doctor's commands today. Through rehab this week, she sat up on her own. Brittney is progressing slowly but "sholy." What a joy it is to be a part of this process! Jehovah-Rapha is The Healer! We're praying for continued improvements DAILY. Hallelujah! -The Williams Family To leave your comment, write BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com.

Rehabilitation

Brittney has successfully transitioned to rehabilitation services. Yesterday she sat up on a mat with the assistance of the therapists. Today, they stood her up on a special device and she did well. She said a couple of words today! She said the number "one" while receiving therapy, and she said her little sister's name "Erin" today. She's been breathing successfully on her own without the tracheostomy for the past few days. Because of this, they will completely remove the tracheostomy in a couple of days. We're rejoicing and praising God for progression! Great is His faithfulness! We're believing God for continued improvements for Brittney + more responsiveness and ability to follow commands. Please continue to pray and stand in agreement with us. -The Williams Family Please send all comments to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com.

Stepping Out In Faith

Mom stepped out in faith today. Because of the vomiting incident, she felt that the tracheostomy was a part of the problem. Because she was initially told that the tracheostomy was only temporary, she took action steps to have it completely removed soon. Today, Brittney's trach was plugged up and she is now breathing 100% on her own. Her stats have remained stable and she is doing great! Mom also met with the cardiologist today and discussed options regarding Brittney receiving a defibrillator. Because the current meds are working for Brittney, mom told the doctor that unless it is absolutely necessary, she does not want Brittney to have heart surgery. The doctor stood in total agreement and said that right now, Brittney's EKG levels are normal and everything looks great. Mom decided today that it's time to reverse all of these temporary things Brittney has going on to help her get back normal. Brittney is very aware of her surroundings, and now that the trach is plugged up

Stomach Problems

Brittney has been vomiting the past couple of days since beginning her nutritional feeds. Doctors are doing examinations to identify the problem. We're praying that the problems will soon be identified and the proper treatment is administered. Besided the vomiting, Brittney is still doing well. Aware of her surroundings and very present in mind. She's still moving her limbs. Please continue to pray for her healing, health and wholeness. God is doing a great work in Brittney and we are pleased. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, send an email to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

Cupcake Watch

Yesterday evening, dad brought mom some cupcakes to the hospital. Mom put a little icing in Brittney's mouth and she licked her teeth. It must have been really good because when dad moved the cupcakes from one side of the room to the other Brittney followed him and the cupcakes from one side of the room to the other (moving here head too)! She's been very responsive and moving her limbs. We're still working on her being able to follow commands and even communicate. She does shake her hear "no" and she's very attentive when we speak to her. Each day she shows us another part of her personality and we praise GOD for His gift of healing! Hallelujah Jesus! -The Williams Family P.S. To leave a comment, email BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com. Thank you.

Surgery Went Well Today

Brittney had surgery this morning and all went well. She's had a great day since surgery. She's still very responsive and even came back from surgery with a certain sass in her eyes. For those of you who know Brittney personally, you know how sassy she is... so we're excited to see another layer of her personality surface. We already know that she is healed, healthy and whole right now. We rejoice in the Lord for the good things He has promised and is manifesting right now on Brittney's behalf. -The Williams Family To leave a comment, email BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com.

No Surgery Again Today

Brittney still has not had surgery yet. She's doing well, but her blood count is still too low. So she's getting an additional unit of blood and is schedule to have surgery tomorrow. -The Williams Family Please email BriittneyMonyse@ymail.com to leave a comment.

Speech Therapy

Brittney just had speech therapy this afternoon. Although she is unable to speak right now, Brittney is able to respond to commands. Right now her responses to commands are inconsistent, so the therapist said she would like to see her consistency increase. With that, we are praying that Brittney continues to consistently respond to commands and that her consistency increases. Within a few days she will transition to rehabilitation services and all of her therapy and rehabilitation will be more intense. We're excited to see God move! -The Williams Family P.S. Please email your comments to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

No Surgery Yet

Brittney has not had surgery yet. She has to have a blood transfusion prior to surgery, which she is receiving today. She also shocked two of her doctors who walked in the room surprised to see that she was looking around and following them with her eyes. Mom, family, and our pastor had a great meeting with the doctors yesterday. She will soon transition to rehabilitation services of which mom challenged the doctors not to put Brittney is a box of limitations because we believe in a limitless God who is able to do more than we can imagine or think. On another note, Brittney's friend Nick stopped by to visit her on Sunday. He told her that at school they still call her name in roll and he tells the teacher, "She's not here yet but she'll be back so keep her name on the roll." He also said that one student in school made an observation that "something is missing" and simultaneously he and a couple of others said "Brittney." Thanks everyone for y

Surgery Today

Brittney has to have surgery today to have a G-Tube (feeding tube) put in her stomach. It will be a simple procedure that should not take 30-60 minutes. So, we're praying for a successful surgery today. Mom made an observation that when Brittney had the last surgery for the tracheostomy, it took Brittney almost two week for her to move her limbs. We are not declaring that after this surgery. She will come out moving her limbs and responding the way she has been (and more). We're rejoicing in the Lord for victory! Also, mom (and family) has a meeting with all the doctors this afternoon. They plan to talk about Brittney's long-term care. Please pray for us and the meeting today. -The Williams Family P.S. Be sure to email BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com to leave your comments.

Resistance & Facial Expressions

Doctors told mom today that from a health standpoint, Brittney is improving overall. Her stats are getting better. We're rejoicing over the good report! Today while getting physical therapy, Brittney resisted when the therapist bent her legs. In additon to this, when getting her breathing treatments this afternoon she frowned. She's been more alert and looking around today. We know that Brittney is healed, healthy and whole in the name of Jesus and daily we rejoice in the little victories. As our pastor's son said once, "Slow and steady wins the race." Go Brittney go! Go God go! -The Williams Family P.S. To leave a comment, write to BrittneyMonyse@ymail.com

Update

Brittney has another infection. The doctors are not sure of the source just yet, so she's on contact. Contact means that all of her visitors must wear gowns and gloves for protection. As far as her stats go, Brittney is doing great! She's improving a lot. Yesterday she had to have two blood transfusions of which she did great in receiving both units. Also, last night she moved her head on her own. She actually held her head up slightly, looked at mom and Auntie Kendra then laid back. She also moved her legs. Today our prayer focus is for the infection to leave, and also that she moves her head and limbs more. Thank you for your continued prayer support. The hand of God is moving on Brittney's behalf and we see it daily. We are so grateful for you and prayer warriors all over the world who will not back down until we see the full manifestation of the Healing Power of Jesus manifest in Brittney's body. -The Williams Famly P.S. Limited Visitors Today

Brittney spiked a temperature last night and still has one today. The doctors ordered test to identify the source of the fever. We're praying against fever today. Also her blood sugar is slightly elevated and it's being monitored. Right now she's resting well. To keep her surroundings quiet today, we're limiting her visitors to only immediate family and church pastors. We'll keep everyone posted on her progress today. Thank you for continuing to pray and stand in agreement for Brittney's total healing and deliverance. -The Williams Family

Prayer Focus

Brittney is continuing to do well. From a heart and respiratory standpoint, she's improving. Right now our prayer focus is for continued strength in her body overall, and we'd also like to see her move her limbs. According to the doctors, she'll be in the hospital for a few more weeks. Their goal is to get her healthy enough for rehabilitation which is very intense. Thank you for your continued prayer support. -The Williams Family

Doing Great!

Three days in a regular room and Brittney is doing great! So far her breathing, electrolyes and her EKG levels look good. She's not on the ventilator or oxygen, just room air and she's doing well with that. She looks great and has had many visitors. Visitors are welcome to visit. Please contact her mom or leave a comment and we'll give you more details. In the meantime, please continue to pray for healing, health & wholeness for Brittney. Pray that all of her levels return to normal so she can begin rehabilitation. Also contine to pray, believe and thank God for healed brain function, lungs and heart. -The Williams Family

Praying for Mom & Brittney

Today we want to ask that you say a special prayer for Quanda (Brittney's mother). The reality of Brittney's current condition and being able to be in the room with her last night was overwhelming. It doesn't help that thhe doctors want to send Brittney back to the Special Care Unit of which it seems that maybe they don't want to deal with her condition (thus moving her to SCU means other doctors). It's hard. Pray that her faith will not be moved and that the Lord continues to encourage her to keep the fight in her on Brittney's behalf. As far as Brittney is concerned, she needs the following: Lungs strengthen, heart healthy, brain function to continue to improve, more body movement & interaction with people. We've been told by several professional & non-professional people that w/ Brittney being in a room we'll see much impeovement. We believe that and we're looking forward to it. Please continue to pray for Brittney & Quanda. Thank you.

Moving to a Regular Room

After Brittney has her tracheostomy changed today, she's gonna go to a regular room! Our prayer focus is for overall strength, health & improvement. -The Williams Family

Resting & Healing

It's been quiet for the last couple of days. Brittney has been resting and healing. Still responding, smiling & revealing the glory of God daily. Thanks for your continued prayers & support. -The Williams Family

6, 7, 8...

What an encouraging morning we've had! While getting vocational therapy this morning, Brittney counted with the therapist!

A Frustrated Brittney...

The emotion of frustration... although we don't want to see her frustrated, we rejoice that she's emotional. Again, she's going against the odds even in that as the doctors told us that she would never show emotions. We're thanking God that we chose not to believe the report of man, but we believe the report of the Lord! Now on to why Brittney was frustrated... she's trying to TALK (yes... she's trying to talk) but unable to be heard because of her tracheostomy. The respiratory therapist told mom that Brittney's voice box is temporarily disconnected because of the trach, but she will be able to talk when it's removed. She was able to get four hours of sleep last night, and we're rejoicing in that as well. Today she'll be visited by the optometrists to examine her vision to see if it suffered any damaged. Although her eyes respond to light and darkness properly, she has a hard time focusing in on us when we talk to her. We're praying that she

Gimme a Kiss & a Smile!

The past couple of days have been great for Brittney. She has been off the ventilator during the day, breathing on her own. She's not been sleeping much, but she's been doing great with her tracheostomy. BIGGER NEWS!!! Brittney puckered up ... a kiss for mom and a kiss for dad! More than that, she SMILED! Yes, that's right... SHE SMILED! Just last week the doctor told us "at best we would be hopeful to even get a smile." Whose report will you believe? We believe the report of the Lord that Brittney is healed, healthy & whole! We're continuing to pray for health progression ... healthy brain function, healthy heart, lungs and kidneys. We're rejoicing in the Lord! Progression (no matter how big or small) is the key to victory! -The Williams Family

Successful Surgery

The tracheostomy procedure went well. Brittney is back in ICU doing well. They were able to turn down her ventilator settings since surgery.

Tracheostomy Day

Brittney is scheduled to have a temporary tracheostomy today. This will help her breath better. Please join us in prayer for a smooth operating procedure today. We also found out that other ICU kids will have to have the same prodecure today, so we're praying for them as well. We will update after surgery today. Thanks for continually joining your faith with ours in believing for complete health & healing for Brittney. She's an overcomer through Christ Jesus! -The Williams Family

Lungs Strength

We are rejoicing that Brittney is continuing to do well despite the doctors report. She's wide awake, alert and still moving her limbs. She's even more engaging with her eyes and moving her lips. This morning the doctors told mom that Brittney's lungs are still very weak and it they don't improve over the next few days, they will have to do a tracheotomy on her. So today our prayer focus is for overall strength in her body (especially her lungs) as she recovers from all that she's been through over the past seven weeks. Please pray and stand in agreement with us. -The Williams Family

Beating the Odds

No matter what the doctors have reported, Brittney is continuing to beat the odds! She's alert, wide-eyed and moving her limbs. She is also moving her lips and and slid in bed towards her mom. The doctors were amazed this morning that she was doing all the things they said she would not do. BUT, we serve an awesome God who is the Healer! We have worship music and the Word of God playing near her bed to constantly feed her spirit. We're continuing to pray for no setbacks and continued healing and progress. Right now she's still on the ventilator as doctors are testing her lung strength before they take her off. So, we're also praying that her lungs are strengthened. We're so very proud of Brittney. -The Williams Family

No More Setbacks

For the past few days, Brittney has experienced a couple of setbacks. Instead of giving voice to those issues by blogging about it, today we're asking everyone to join us in prayer (and agreement) that she will not experience any more setbacks, but she heals and recovers from this day forward. By the way, since our last blog, Brittney has proven the medical report wrong yet again by being awake, alert & moving her head, fingers, arms and legs. She's also been moving her mouth. We are believing God for full recovery, in the name of Jesus Christ. Keep praying with us. -The Williams Family

Brain Damage Report

Yesterday we were hit with the news that Brittney's brain is damaged beyond self-repair. They told us that the Brittney we "knew" will never be anymore and at best she would be a "vegetable." One doctor reminded us that it is a miracle that she is alive and that it would be another miracle that she comes through this. We know that God is in the midst and He is already working on Brittney's brain... restoring and repairing her brain and breathing fresh life into her. Although initially the news was a very hard blow, we're standing in faith on Brittney's behalf knowing that God has already healed her and made her brain function healthy & whole. This morning Brittney shocked the doctors by crying at the sound of mom's voice. Mom said to Brittney, "I know you're in there and God is healing you..." Please continue to stand in faith with us that Brittney's brain function is healed, healthy & whole and that we'll see the ma

We've Been Here Before

It's hard sometimes, but I (Auntie Meka) have to remind myself that we've been here before... and just as God did it then, He'll do it again. God is able indeed. But not only is He able, He wants to... He wants to be our healer, deliverer, Savior, peace... our everything. In the natural, what we experienced last Thursday may have seemed like a set back. But I'm learning that what seems to be one thing is actually another. I've determined that "seem" is really an illusion of the mind influenced by outer circumstances. The reality in all that "seems" to be is that God is still God! And that is where my heart takes anchor and rejoice for Brittney, my sister, our family, friends & incercessors all over the world. God is raising up a real live testimony of His Might, His Power and His Spirit. Saints, let us rejoice and begin praising God even now! Despite what it seems in your situation, I just want to encourage you to just praise God right now! H

Update on Brittney

Docs unparalyzed Brittney & took her off the cooling blanket so see if her heart keeps the rythm on it's own. They believe the Methadone caused her to stop breathing. No blood clots were found. If all goes well (and we believe they will), they'll wake her up soon.

Today's Test Results

They took Brittney to have a CT Scan of her brain to see if there was any damage. The results revealed no damage. The doctors said that when they wake her up in a couple of days we'll know the extent of brain damage (if there is any). They also did a Ultra Sound of her lungs and heart and found no blood clots. What needs to happen now is that Brittney's vital signs (especially heart rythm) needs to remain stable for 24-48 hours. Right now she's been stable for almost 15 hours. God is able! We covet your continued prayers as we're seeing the Hand of God move right now. -The Williams Family

Back in ICU

At 3:00 am Brittney told the nurse that something was wrong. By 3:15 am she stopped breathing and the doctors worked on her. They were able to revive her and take her to ICU. We're being told that the next 24-48 hours are very critical as her heart's rhythm needs to stay strong and steady with the meds they're giving her. The doctors also said that because she was without oxygen for over 30 minutes, it's possible that she has brain damage. Right now she's too critical for further testing to see if there is brain damage or how much (if any). We're an emotional wreck, but we're holding on spiritually. Please lift Brittney, mom & family to the Lord at this time. Especially pray Brittney through this critical time. -The Williams Family

It's a Daily Process

Our pastor once said that God changes the thing through "presto" but He changes you through the "process." When in a situation like this, it is natural to want God to do it "presto"... yet for Brittney, mom, and family this has been a process. God is definitely changing us all too. Brittney is still in ICU, however she is improving daily. We are happy to hear her talk, although sometimes it's hard to understand what she's saying. Also to hear the funny interactions she's had with the nurses... asking how much they make, telling them she wants Mountain Dew, and even asking for clothes so she can go home. Although she won't be back to 100% for a while, we're happy to have her conscious and getting better daily. For all of us, especially Brittney, this is only the beginning of a long healing process. Right now our prayer focus is for her lungs to continue to strengthen daily, more consciousness and awareness, and a successful wean from the

Still in ICU

Day before yesterday, the doctors talked about moving Brittney to SCU (Special Care Unit). However, yesterday they said she was too weak to move. Here's what needs to happen before she can go to the step down unit... 1. Her lungs needs to be stronger. 2. She needs to be awake more. 3. She has to have more movement in her body. Please continue to pray for Brittney and our family as each day this is a process. Because of your faithfulness to fast and pray, we've seen the hand of God on Brittney's life. -The Williams Family

Brittney is Talking Now

Yesterday after being taken off the ventilator, Brittney talked a little. She told one of the nurses that her arm hurts and later that evening she told mom that she was ready to go home. As we've been told constantly from the doctors, this is the beginning of a long journey for Brittney. We are ready for the journey one step at a time. Right now, Brittney's temperature is trending down and she will have further testing and another possible surgery. Mom is very happy to be able to talk to Brittney... we all are! We have been doing a photo journal and when Brittney is ready, we'll not only share them with her, but also share them with you so that you can see what God did (is doing now) through your prayers. We thank you for your continued prayer support as we continue on the road to recovery and wellness w/ Brittney. Keep checking this blog for updates. We'll have more blogs from mom, Auntie Meka and others. Again, we encourage your comments so that Brittney can read your

A Quick Announcement

Brittney will be taken off the ventilator after lunch today! She's responsive, aware of her surrounding, and moving on her own. We're believing God for a smooth transition today. Thank you for your continued prayer support. -The Williams Family

Another Big Day for Brittney

The past few days have been fairly quiet. Brittney has been progressing very well. The only thing is that her fever still exists. Last right the doctors let her breathe on her own without the ventilator for an hour and she did great. This morning at 7:00 am they woke her up fully for tests. They will take more fluids from her joints and determine if she needs more surgery. We will update the blog later today when we know more. Thank you for your continued prayers for her & for our family. -The Williams Family

A Big Day for Brittney

Last night Brittney had a rough night. She spiked a fever of 105.4 and it took much prayer and cooling blankets, meds and an act of God to get her fever down. This morning Brittney went for surgery. The doctors removed infectious fluids from her right hip and right knee. The surgery was a little more extensive that it started out because more spots were found. She made it through surgery and back to ICU just fine. The doctors were pleased with how surgery went. They are still watching Brittney's left knee and hip to see if there are more possible infected areas. She's on four different antibiotics to help eradicate the infection in her body. As of the 8 pm visitation tonight, Brittney was responsive and even mouthing words to mom, family & the nurses. She has a temp still, however it's lower than it has been the past couple of days. Her Peep Respiratory Number is at 7 and she is doing well breathing on her own with the ventilator. Our prayer is that today's surgery

Message from Mom

Hello All, I am Brittney's mother and I would just like to share some things that I have experienced on Britt's road of Divine Instructions. #1. I know that my daughter has a healing anointing on her life that will never be changed as long as God says the same. My child is a special child she is different from most teens. Not disrespectful, still a virgin and a strong believer in Christ. She is a joy in my life. Okay on to this journey, this has been rough as with any parent but I know God is so Good and that he has to get the glory. As mentioned earlier Britt is slowly improving and all glory goes to God. This has been a real challenge for me but through it all I have been able to pray for other kids, see the manifestation of healing and to allow the spirit to talk with me and console other ICU parents. I have grown very close to the Hamlin's family as their daughter and Brittney has traveled similiar roads. God has been so good and the opportunity to see lives changed and

Satan's Eviction Notice

I am tired, we have allowed you to stay too long, and the time has come for you to turn over your keys and flee! You have no power and every trick you brought has failed. God is in control! Death, my daughter has already given her life to Jesus Christ! "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" Jesus in John 10:10. Sickness and disease, just as God healed the woman with the issue of blood, He has healed Brittney. (Matthew 9:20-22) Sickle Cell Anemia and infection must flee! HEALED - Brittney is healed by Jesus' stripes. "...by His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5 Praise dance is her gift that was given to her by God and she will not be moved! You are trying to attack her legs, but I command you and serve notice that YOU ARE EVICTED right now in the name of Jesus! Brittney is healed and she is whole! Mama (Quanda)

Brittney is Responding

The day before yesterday, the doctors took Brittney off her sedation medicine to wake her up for a couple of hours to see how she would respond. With mom and dad by her side, she opened her eyes and cried. She responded very well to them and to physical therapy. After two hours of being awake, the doctors sedated her again so her body could rest. After about two hours of sedation, Deacon Stoves visited Brittney's bedside and while he prayed she opened her eyes. What a blessing! She is not heavily sedated as she was before, so she will open her eyes and blink or frown her face in response to what's going on around her. When mom mentioned her dance ministry when all of this is over, and how anointed Brittney is... and how God is going to use her to tell her story and heal others, tears rolled down her face. We are pleased to report that Brittney's PEEP Respiratory Number was down to 8 last night. Originally doctors wanted her to reach 10 before taking her off the ventilator.

Great News!

We learned last night that Brittney *does not* have Lupus and she *no longer* has an infection in her body! Again, we celebrate and glorify God for the victory! Brittney is improving daily, but she still has a fever. Join us in praying that the source of the fever is found and treated. Also continue to pray for lung and kidney strength. She is scheduled to be taken off the ventilator by Friday because she is doing so well. On another note, we want to thank Erica B from Prophetic Airbrush Design... she made Brittney a healing shirt that was/is unbelievable! It is definitely prophetic! It has Isaiah 53:5 on it as well as red stripes and mirrors. We laid the shirt over Brittney. It's now on her bed and so many people have asked about it... another opportunity for ministry even in the ICU. In addition to praying and believing God for Brittney & Katie, we have also been praying for all the other kids in ICU. We are pleased to announce that all of them have gone either to SCU, a regu

Brittney & Katie

Today Brittney's temp is down. She has also been unparalyzed since yesterday, which is good. We praise God for even the smallest victories! We are still waiting for the test results from Friday. In the meantime, we are praying that the source of the infection is found and that her lungs and kidneys be strengthened everyday. While you're praying for Brittney we ask that you also pray for Katie. She is a 16 year old also in ICU. She and Brittney had some similar issues in the beginning. However, Katie suffered some complications which resulted in 4 operations thus far. Pray for Katies lungs to heal and her heart to be strengthened. Pray also for her parents Bob & Susie as it is very hard for any parent to be in this type of situation. -The Williams Family

Bone Marrow Test

As of right now, they are extracting bone marrow for further testing. Please pray that God gives Dr. Winkler and her team wisdom, knowledge, understanding, divine revelation, and prophetic insight concerning Brittney and all that's going on with her. Update on Brittney: She's breathing better on her own w/ the ventilator. Also, she opened her eyes today while the physical therapist worked with her. Prayer needed: The fever to be broken, the source of the fever to be found, Britt continues to do well in the weaning process. -The Williams Family

New Challenges

Last night Brittney spiked a fever and her blood pressure dropped again. Her body is not responding the way the doctors hoped when they unparalyzed her. As of today, she is still unparalyzed but she is also unable to move. They brought in a new doctor who says she will not stop until she finds out what's wrong with Brittney. They are testing her for Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. In addition to this, they are bringing three specialists in to examine Brittney's case. Because of the amount of Morphine she's gotten over the past week, her body is addicted so now they have to slowly wean her from it. She is really sick and needs prayer like never before. Keep her lifted, please. Pray for the doctors, pray they find the cause and treatment/cure. Also pray for Brittney's complete health and healing. -The Williams Family

A Day of Rest

Today Brittney is resting. We're limiting her visitors because she was agitated last night. Yesterday evening we found out that the spots on her hips were not the source of the infection. Initially, it was disappointing news. However, we had to reflect on the fact that Brittney is improving overall... but more than anything God is able to heal regardless of what the doctors say. Our hope is in Christ and Christ alone. "Godly" enough, this morning the report was that all blood cultures are negative for infection! Awesome God! Britt still has a slight temp, but we're being told that the temp may be from other things she has going on as a result of all that she's been through this week. In addition to resting today, they will unparalyze Brittney so that she can move a little and breathe on her own. Our prayer focus is for continue lung health & wellness so she can transition off the ventilator & for the fever to be broken. -The Williams Family P.S. Thanks to

Eight Days & Counting...

Today is day 8 of Brittney being in ICU at Children's Hospital. It has been an emotional and spiritual journey for Brittney, her mom, siblings and family. We are thanking God daily for progress. Some days are slow, some days we've had setbacks, but in God we have remained faithful and hopeful of God's promises of healing for Brittney. Yesterday we learned that Brittney has two spots on her hips that may be the cause of the infection that tried to destroy her body. Right now as we type this, the doctors are drawing fluid from the spots on her hips to test for infection. If the test is positive, they will operate to remove the infection. We are pleased that her lungs and respiratory seems to be improving. Our pray focus is that her Peep Respiratory number goes down to 10. This will mean that her airways will start contracting better so that she will be able to breath on her own when they remove the ventilator. She is still in an induced coma and paralysis. So as of our knowle
