Yesterday after being taken off the ventilator, Brittney talked a little. She told one of the nurses that her arm hurts and later that evening she told mom that she was ready to go home.
As we've been told constantly from the doctors, this is the beginning of a long journey for Brittney. We are ready for the journey one step at a time. Right now, Brittney's temperature is trending down and she will have further testing and another possible surgery.
Mom is very happy to be able to talk to Brittney... we all are! We have been doing a photo journal and when Brittney is ready, we'll not only share them with her, but also share them with you so that you can see what God did (is doing now) through your prayers.
We thank you for your continued prayer support as we continue on the road to recovery and wellness w/ Brittney. Keep checking this blog for updates. We'll have more blogs from mom, Auntie Meka and others. Again, we encourage your comments so that Brittney can read your well-wishes when she is able.
