Brittney Drinking Sprite
Because her brain is still healing, sometimes Brittney has a hard time processing swallowing liquids. She's swallow food, but rarely swallows liquids. Recently at school, she drank a Sprite. She even took the can out of the teacher's hand and put the can up to her mouth. We are still seeing miracles daily in Brittney's life!

Standing & Taking Steps
This morning while mom and little brother were getting her out the bed, she scooted to the edge of the bed and stood to her feet independent of their assistance. Then she pushed her body forward a couple of times in efforts to take a couple of steps, but was unable to get going. Lately she's been taking a few steps without assistance and standing without assistance as well. We're rejoicing at new manifestations of healing.
If you don't know by now, the LORD is real! The healing made available to us by Jesus' stripes is real! We only need to access it by faith! How do you access it by faith? Hearing God's Word on healing, believing that you are already healed, confess that you are healed, and then take action. Mom, our family and Brittney has been taking action lately and so can YOU! Hallelujah!

New Updates & Prayer Requests
Brittney has been doing great! God continues to show Himself faithful on Brittney's behalf and each day we continue to see new manifestations of miracles.
Currently, Brittney is going through the developmental stages all over again. Where she once displayed baby-like behaviors, she's now in toddler staged (temper tantrums). It's been great seeing her transition from one stage to another as it gives us hope that she'll continue to develop. She's speaking more words. Lately she's been having a unique behavior where we can't tell whether she's laughing or crying as there are no tears and she sounds like she's laughing but her face seems as if she's crying. As we're trying to figure out this new emotion, we rejoice because we were told that she would be lifeless and have no emotions.
Our prayer focus is for communication, her ability to walk, and her blood levels to continue to return to normal. She's due to come completely off antibiotics in two weeks and we rejoice as it means she's now infection free!
Another prayer focus we have is 1) Mom is ready to return to work, so we're praying for favor as she's been diligent in sending resume's and seeking employment, and 2) Brittney's teacher was let go suddenly and without notice because she has not been teaching long enough to be permanent. All the student's parents have taken action and sent letters to the superintendent of the Board of Education requesting that they rehire Mrs. Foy. She is an excellent teacher who all the children respond so well to, and we'd hate to see her leave because of the impact she's made in just one year for most and only a couple of months for Brittney. So, we're praying also my Mrs. Foy finds favor and will be able to return to work this upcoming school year.
Thank you so much for your prayers and concerns.

Great News!
Brittney had a couple of doctors appointments on yesterday. We learned that her blood levels are looking great and she is infection free! The doctors want to keep her on antibiotics for two more months in hopes that her levels remain normal before taking her off with assurance. She's also in the process of being weened from monthly blood pheresis/exchange. One of the side affects to that is iron overload of which she is currently being treated for. As the monthly exchange is reduced, her iron levels should begin to return to normal and she'll be taken off that medication as well.
In addition to this, she is eating more and has an appointment with her rehabilitation doctors on Thursday to discuss new rehab methods and eventually having her feeding tube removed as she's now able to eat on her own.
She is still talking some, walking with assistance, smiling, and even laughing. She's more mobile than she's been and is doing great in school! Because she has shown so much improvement since being in school, she'll be enrolled in a summer program where she will receive rehabilitation twice a week over the summer holiday.
We're very proud of the miracle the Lord manifests in her body each and every day. Our current prayer is that the medical plans continue to move in the right direction and she'll be taken off the medicine as expected with no issues. Also, we are believing God that her speech will be more fluent, frequent and spoken with clear understanding. Our desire is to have normal communications with her on all levels. We know that God is able, willing and He wants to do it just for Brittney... so we're standing in faith awaiting the manifestation.
Thank you so much for your continued prayer support. We are blessed because of your prayers and your faith.

All is Well
Brittney is doing great! She is still walking (with assistance), talking some, eating and even laughing! God is awesome and He continues every day to manifest healing in Brittney.
She's still in school where she's receiving rehabilitation in speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
We are going to get new pictures of Brittney and start a new Power Point presentation soon so that you will be able to see the process she has made thus far.
Please continue to pray and stand in faith for complete healing manifestation for Brittney.

School IEP Today
Today, mom and aunt attended Brittney's IEP at school with her teacher, class aids and therapists. They were all super happy and amazed at the progress Brittney has made in one month's time.
One of our biggest concerns was that when school gets out next month, what would she do for the summer in her rehabilitation. Well, the team suggested that mom enrolls Brittney in the summer program where she will attend school two days a week and get additional therapy.
They were all confident that Brittney will continue on her path to recovery in leaps and bounds. (This comes from a team of professionals who work with kids with all types of disabilities all the time.)
We're overjoyed at the progress Brittney has made thus far, and we too are confident that she will continue to excel and go beyond all of our expectations.
Over the last week, she started speaking in sentences again as well. "Hey, Brandon." "I'm so sleepy." "You better leave him alone." ... and much more and all relevant. She's also started eating again... only snacks here and there.
One of the things we're most proud of is that the Lord has surrounded Brittney with people of faith at school. And also people who are aggressive in her rehabilitation. We learned a long time ago that passivity is not the way to go with Brittney in her recuperation. She needs stern guidance and direction during this time. So, we are pleased.
Our prayer focus is that Brittney continues to go over and beyond all expectations in walking, talking and in the goals that were set in her IEP today. We're confident that she will do well.
Thank you for your continued prayer support.

March Manifestations for Brittney
This month Brittney turned 19 years old on the 18th. She was visited by a couple of friends, and her Facebook page was overflowing with greetings. As you know, this was one of the best birthdays of Brittney's life as she made it through such a tumultuous year since turning 18.
We're happy to report that in addition to turning 19 this month, she's also been standing and walking at home and at school (with assistance), working her legs and upper body more, PLUS her teacher told mom that when she danced with Brittney yesterday, Brittney danced with her by moving her head and shoulders.
We can't begin to express enough how your prayers and your faith have blessed our lives and pushed our family (especially Brittney) through this difficult time. We thank God for each of you!
Please continue to stand in faith with us for full recovery and full function of her limbs, that she become vocal and able to speak words on a consistent basis, and that her blood level continues to return to normal.
As we continue to pray and stand in faith together, we will continue to do all that's within our realm of assistance to make sure that Brittney has the necessary support and encouragement she needs. Afterall, faith without works is dead. We're promising to continue to work on her behalf until we see full manifestation of healing in her body.

Email Comments
"WOW! Every time I get the emails my heart jumps! What a wonderful GOD we serve... through him all things are possible! My prayers continue to flow up for Brittney and her recovery."
"I pray for you constanclly and so do the teens at South Elyton Bapt. God bless you and may He continue to heal you."
"I just wanted to stop in and say AMEN!! AMEN! AMEN!!! God is all knowing his strength continues to spread through us regardless of what physicians THINK, WE KNOW GOD IS ALMIGHTY!!!!!! Brittney is constantly in my prayers as well as the praying family who supports her and keeps her moving stead fast to what GOD has in store for her."
"Brittney! What can I say? You continue to show me and others that there is nothing to hard for OUR God. I have faced so many challenges since this chapter of your life began. At times, I must admit they have seemed too much for me to bear. Then I see you....God's Word in flesh. You continue to remind me of God's promises to me. You are an impossibilty...yet God's opportunity for a miracle. Yes, God!
As you enter these next couple challenges...I join your amazing family praying that God will keep you in the surgery, focus you for your rehabilitation and strengthen you...as well as your family. I praise God for you, and the blessing you have been in my own struggles.
Your other brother [in Christ]....Ben"
"What a victory! You started walking! (I say, 'started' 'cause there's no stopping you now!) The lyrics to a certain song popped into my mind when I read of your wonderful achievement.
'... the enemy's been defeated... ' Yeeeeeeeha!!! Jesus, the Lover of your Soul is right there at your side. Strengthening all those muscles, and being your rear guard and your foreguard.
I saw pictures of you on your website and wow! What a beauty! You have a magnificent smile! There was a fairytale that went something like,'...when a baby smiles for the first time, the smile breaks up into a million little pieces and they skip off as new fairies.'
When you smile, I think it breaks up into many little prisms of Jesus' love, and touches hearts...
Here's to a FULL recovery for you. May the Lord continue to have His Hand of guidance over your precious life, and may He Bless you with abundance in EVERYTHING you put your mind to. I trust, that your healing now, will be swift, so that you may go out there and testify of His Awesome Goodness. May you lead LOADS of people to Jesus.
Much love and excitement for you,
from Heather in South Africa."
"Hey Brittney I had a vision of you walking to the altar at church yesterday. I know God is already waiting on you when you get there. He's laid out the path for you. You'll speak to us and we'll receive the word from the Lord that He has for his children. I love you girl!
Love,
Erica B."
Brittney's 1st Day of School Report
Brittney had a great first day of school yesterday. It started very emotional, however, when she got home she was bright-eyed and worn out. Yet, she seemed happy!
This morning mom talked to the teacher who told her that Brittney has already changed their lives with her presence. They were listening to a Gospel CD of which the lyrics said, "God is lifting you up." At that very moment, the class aid was lifting Brittney up out of her wheelchair. The teacher immediately said to the aid that she was demonstrating what the Lord is doing in Brittney's life. Then she encouraged Brittney. Then immediately one of her classmates began dancing around the room.
Brittney has also been communicating with her eyes since yesterday. They taught her to blink for "yes" ... so she's been blinking all night and all morning!
As it's been said... THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
She has not started rehabilitation yet. Currently she's going through evaluations before beginning her physical, occupational and speach rehabilitation.
Thank you for your continued prayer support. Your prayers have moved the Heart and Hands of God on Brittney's behalf.

Brittney's New School
As soon as her doctors approve her medications to the new school, Brittney will start at the Burkett Center this week. It's a school for people with developmental disabilities.
Today, Brittney, mom and aunt visited the school and got a chance to meet the staff and take a tour of the school. Initially mom was nervous and very emotional but the staff quickly made her feel comfortable and at ease that Brittney would get the best of care.
During the meeting with the staff, Brittney was very engaging. The very first thing the principal said to mom is, "We've seen miracles." This statement was very encouraging as we all know that Brittney is a miracle.
As the therapist evaluated her in the meeting, Brittney responded with shaking and nodding her head, making certain noises and doing certain facial expressions as her way of communicating.
One of mom's biggest concerns was that the therapist did not give up on helping Brittney regardless of the rate of progress she makes. They assured her that their goal is for Brittney's educational rehabilitation which includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy. This means that each day she'll receive these rehabilitation services. Our prayer is that Brittney is responsive, receptive and that she retains everything she learns as a result.
During the meeting, Brittney became very agitated. But when Mrs. Foy walked into the room and started talking to her, Brittney immediately calmed down and took to her right away. Because of this interaction, the principal made Mrs. Foy Brittney's teacher. It was amazing to see how Brittney responded to her.
It was amazing the love we felt at the Burkett Center. We could tell that the staff really love their jobs and they love making a difference in the lives of the families they serve. Before we could even get out of the classroom, one teacher's aid was already making Brittney a pink name tage (as she'll be the only girl in her class of eight).
Today's meeting offered additional hope to the family. Although our faith is in God as Brittney's ultimate healer, we trust that God sends people to assist in the healing process. We have a feeling that not only will they make a difference in Brittney's life, but she will make an impact in theirs as well.
Please join us in continued prayer for this phase in Brittney road to recovery.
Sincerely,
-The Williams Family

Hospital Stay Update
Brittney's blood exchange went great yesterday. She had an ultra sound today and she has one gall stone. It's not causing her and problems nor is her gall bladder inflamed. So the doctors will not do anything about it. So we're praying that God removes it on His own.
She was supposed to have surgery to have a new g-tube (feeding tube) put in, but because she has little pain sensation the doctor opted to replace it in her room without surgery. That's going to take place minutes from now... so pray that she feels little to no discomfort. It a matter of taking one out and putting the other in. So she'll go home this afternoon.
Thank you all so much for your prayer support. You are greatly appreciated!

P.S. Brittney starts her new school next week! We have an additional testimony to share about that coming soon.

New Phases of Brittney's Healing Manifest
We are rejoicing in all things and thanking the Lord for all He is doing in Brittney's life. This past Sunday with the help of our pastor and her older brother, she walked in church. In addition to this, whenever she goes somewhere outside the house, she walks from the car to her bed with the support of mom and big brother.
Brittney will soon be taken off anti-biotics because her blood level is much improved. We are believing God that this time when she comes off antibiotics that the infection is completely gone and never to return.
Next week, Brittney will visit a new school for people with developmental disabilities. She's scheduled to start soon. In this new school, she will receive full rehabilitation services: occupational, physical and speech therapy. So, we're excited about this new phase in her healing process. Our prayer is that she will be fully alert, responsive and receptive to the new school, teachers, students and especially to rehabilitation.
On the 18th of this month, Brittney is scheduled for a two day hospital stay. On the 18th she will have her monthly blood transfusion/exchange, and on the 19th she will have surgery replacing her feeding tube for a new one. They surgery will only last a few minutes, but she'll have to be put to sleep. We're praying for complete success with both the blood exchange and the surgery.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support in faith. We are still, DAILY, seeing the healing power of God manifest in her life ... be it a look, a sound, a word... Brittney is daily showing us that God is yet alive and holds true to His promises of healing, health and long life!

Brittney Walked Today!
For the past couple of weeks we've seen Brittney's personality unfold before our very eyes. Some of her mannerisms have returned and she's been looking more like "herself" than ever before.
In addition to this, she's been moving her limbs more and sometimes making motions with her legs as if she's running. Mom often tells her to "pick up your bed and walk" and with that, we saw this come to pass today.
With the help of mom and big brother, Brittney walked across the room. This was her very first steps in seven months. Their intention was just to stand her on her feet to help her feel what it's like to stand on her feet, but as soon as she stood up, she began to take steps.
We are all rejoicing as we know that this is only the beginning. As auntie always say, "If she can do it once, that means she can do it again." We are looking forward to more of what God manifests in moments, days, and weeks to come!
If you're believing God for anything... hold fast to your faith. Don't give up on God 'cause He won't give up on you. Stay in faith and never let go of the promises.

Special Prayer for Brittney
We continue to lift Brittney and her family in prayer. We are praying diligently for strength and use of her legs and arms. We go before the Lord and ask the infection totally and finally be removed from her system. This is God's temple and we shout in agreement that this infection should not dwell within her. We pray that Brittney feel the Holy Spirit surround her with peace and joy. We pray for her family too... let them know dear Lord we are relentless in praying healing over Brittney. We praise you God for continuing to knit those beautiful brain cells together. We Praise you for the progress that we have heard and seen. Brittney is your testimony and witness to prayer and healing. We continue to thank and praise you!-Heidi M.

Brittney is Well
It's been a while since our last post, but we want you to know that Brittney is well. Each day she does something new and different as a sign from God that He's manifesting healing in her body each day. Whether it's a word, a movement or just a look in her eyes.
Right now she's no longer speaking in complete sentences, yet she calls the names of family members, "Ma, Tee, Erin, Brandon and D." She's moving her limbs with ease (especially her right arm with was the arm that had the most infection).
She still receives antibiotics three times a day via IV. Her monthly hospital visits for blood transfusions have been reduced from a 2-3 day visit to now only one day for a few hours.
We're expecting great results with her next visit with infectious disease doctors and hopefully, the infection is all gone and they'll stop the antibiotics altogether.
Right now, she's no longer in rehabilitation. However, we're expecting to find a therapist soon that will be able to come to the home to help her with rehabilitation.
She's still very present and aware of her surroundings. And we rejoice for that!
What we're praying for:
Our biggest prayer request is that she can be mobile -- walking and doing more for herself. That will help in transporting her back and forth to doctors visits and to church.
We're praying that the infection is completely gone and never to return.
We're praying that God sends the professional help she needs to get to the next point in her healing process.
Thank you so much for your continued prayer support. One of her friends posted on her Facebook page that she had dreams of Brittney walking and talking. We know this will happen. Keep the faith with us. Keep strong and don't give up on God (because God Himself has not given up). Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!
